Further to our recent blog on your ability to claim a tax deduction for your work related travel when using Uber, we will now have a look at whether a business can or should be claiming GST input tax credits?
So, to claim GST input tax credits on a ride, the trip must be business related and you must receive a valid Tax Invoice. For small fares, those totalling $82.50 including GST a Tax Invoice will not be required and a docket, an invoice or a receipt will do and is ok to claim GST with.
